Your body type will play a big part in what style looks good
on you.
Pear shaped– Pear shape is a figur that is
smaller on the top and fuller on the bottom. Surprisingly one of the most recommended
styles for a pear shape is the ball gown, because it will
minimize the hips and bring focus to the small upper bodice. A pear shaped figure should stay away from a sheath gown.
Broad shoulders–These brides should choose a gown
that has spaghetti straps or a scoop neckline which to the eye
shortens the width of the shoulders. A drop waist will also elongate the
bodice and narrow the shoulders. Off the shoulder is not a good look for most of the broader shoulder bride.
Short/Petite–This bride should stay away for a
gown that is overwhelming to their frame. Ususally a full ball
gown is too musch and may swallow up the bride. Too much beading can
also be too much for the petite bride to wear well. Modified A-line or
Princess A-line with a natural waist willbring good balance to a smaller
frame.
Tall/Thin–This bride looks great in a sheath gown
or mermaid also a trumpet skirt. . This shows off her figure. To get
balance for along waist tall girl a ball gown works very well. Do
not leave out the drop waist with any style of skirt.
Hourglass figure– are the brides that have curves
like an hourglass. A sweetheartneckline will accent the bodice if it covers
enough of the full bust. You can not go wrong with an A-line gown of any
type. A drop waist with other correct design elements will look great.
Thick waist–This bride will almost always be
flattered by an empire waist gown. This bride can usually wera the rouched waist and the asymeterical waist works good with the rouching
also.
